The House of Representatives just passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act (H.R. 4405), forcing the release of Justice Department files on Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. Nearly every Republican voted yes—but only after Donald Trump gave them permission to do so. Now the bill heads to the Senate, where Senate Republicans are expected to water it down, stall it, or do everything they can to protect the wealthy, powerful men who abused these girls. The fight for transparency is far from over, and Trump’s allies in the Senate are already preparing to kill the bill or gut it completely.
